
CDL Driver

Join the Chet's Rent-All , a family‑owned equipment and tool rental company serving the greater Detroit area since 1946. We are looking for dependable and experienced CDL Drivers to join our team.
We are seeking safety‑focused and customer‑oriented drivers to support the delivery and pickup of rental equipment across our service area. In this fast‑paced, service‑driven role, you will be responsible for transporting a wide range of equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and pick‑ups while maintaining excellent communication with dispatch, yard teams, and customers. As a key part of our operations team, you will help ensure equipment arrives on time and in proper working condition, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and overall business success.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a heavy‑duty rollback truck to transport equipment to and from job sites.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Coordinate with dispatch to ensure accurate and timely deliveries and pick‑ups.
Load and unload equipment, ensuring it is properly secured and documented.
Demonstrate equipment operation to customers when needed.
Provide professional, customer‑focused service during all interactions.
Complete logs and reports, including delivery documentation, fuel logs, and inspections.
Follow all DOT regulations and company policies.
Requirements
Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with equipment transport.
Strong knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
No recent moving or driving violations.
Ability to lift heavy equipment.
Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
