General Maintenance Technician 1

What You Will Do
Assist with routine maintenance tasks including assisting various departmental trades, light repairs, and general property upkeep
Perform minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and various trades, as needed.
Assist with painting, as needed, minor surface repairs with a neat, professional finish
Perform basic carpentry work including shelving installation, wood repairs, and furniture assembly
Assist with minor plumbing repairs such as leak fixes, drain unclogging, and faucet replacement
Support basic electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs and troubleshooting minor issues (under supervision)
Complete minor flooring repairs
Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools
Support senior technicians on more complex repairs and special projects
Assist with event setups, installations, and coverage.
Communicate professionally with team members and vendors, if applicable to daily workflow.
Report maintenance concerns and safety issues promptly
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain clean, organized work areas
What We Need From Our General Maintenance Technician 1
A strong willingness to learn and take initiative
Dependability and the ability to follow instructions while developing independent work skills
Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
Basic familiarity with hand and power tools
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Physical capability to lift up to 50lbs and perform hands‑on labor
Comfort working at heights (ladders) and in confined spaces
Experience And Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
1-3 years experience with General Maintenance and Repair (Preferred)
What You Can Expect
Ability to transit throughout the arena for long periods of time.
This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is minimal.
Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in person.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
