Job Summary
This position is responsible for operating a forklift at our facility in Mauldin, SC.
Job Duties
Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting safely.
Monitor assigned equipment, notify the supervisor of any issues or breakdowns.
Unload and load wastes in compliance with company rules and regulations.
Offload and check in inbound waste streams.
Perform daily preventive maintenance and inspections on operating equipment.
Operate a forklift with attachments as required.
Verify manifested types and quantities against actual containers received.
Use proper equipment to remove samples for analysis and compatibility checks.
Maintain clean and safe work areas, walls, pit drains, and floor.
Understand coding and labeling systems for container handling.
Use appropriate PPE (boots, gloves, suits, eye/ear protection, respirator) during material handling.
Shovel, sweep, and clean assigned areas periodically.
Follow all work safety protocols.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Plant Manager.
Requirements
1-3 years of shipping, receiving, and warehouse experience.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Proficiency in operating forklifts; experience with heavy equipment is an advantage.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Capacity for climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, and crawling.
Ability to stand or sit as required.
