Meijer is searching for a Food Clerk to provide customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role includes maintaining product displays, using technology, and following safety procedures across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, and Grocery departments.
What will you be doing?
Build rapport with customers.
Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
Respond to customer questions effectively.
Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
Work in Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, and Grocery departments.
What skills will you use?
Detail-oriented and organized.
Strong listening and communication skills, face-to-face and virtually.
Willingness to learn or familiarity with job-specific technology.
Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot.
Process-driven with ability to follow procedures efficiently.
Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
Desire to work with customers consistently.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.
Ability to stand for long periods.

Benefits and Pay
Step schedule: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour, with raises after predetermined hours. Weekly pay; 401(k) match; medical/dental/vision; paid parental leave; paid education assistance; and other benefits as described.
