Responsibilities
Daily cleaning of all halls, offices, classrooms, shops, labs, gym areas, locker rooms, and elevators—including sweeping, dusting, mopping, spot‑wiping, and reconditioning of floors.
Floor maintenance tasks such as vacuuming, shampooing, striping, sealing, and waxing.
Entrance and concourse cleaning, including steps, patios, and walkways.
Spot cleaning of interior and exterior glass surfaces, ceiling lights, and Venetian blinds.
Emptying and cleaning of waste cans, trashcans, recycle bins, water fountains, and doormats.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
Normal Work Schedule: 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM (Monday through Friday). Workdays and shift times may vary in response to customer needs for special event coverage and/or departmental needs.
Total hours per week is 20.
Management retains the right and discretion to modify schedules, building assignments, shifts and/or days for operational purposes.
Position is considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy.
Salary
$16.00 Hourly
Minimum Requirements
Completion of ninth grade.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma and two (2) years of commercial custodial experience.
Special Instructions to Applicants

Required to complete training prescribed by Facilities Services Training and Education Department, and the University’s Compliance Training.
