Caribou, Maine: We invite a skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join the HOSPITALIST team of an award-winning, community-owned 65-bed medical center serving 35,000 residents in northeastern Maine. This respected hospital has been named one of Maines Best Places to Work for five consecutive years, reflecting a culture of stability, teamwork, and genuine support.This is a full-time day shift position with a highly desirable 10 days on / 10 days off schedule, offering excellent balance between professional commitment and personal time. Physicians practice in a modern inpatient setting supported by an experienced nursing team, strong administrative leadership, and access to advanced diagnostic resources.You will provide inpatient care across a 6-bed combined ICU and a 25-bed Med/Surg unit, managing admissions from the Emergency Department and coordinating care with primary care providers, specialists, and tertiary referral centers. Procedures are available for those who wish to perform them, though they are not required. Serious trauma, cardiac, neurosurgery, psychiatric and other critical cases are transported to the large tertiary medical center in Bangor via air ambulance as appropriate.This is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
