Description
This role is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory accuracy by performing cycle counting duties to ensure all materials are properly verified, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The position maintains inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers, efficiently transporting materials within the facility, stocking material supermarkets, and ensuring safety and productivity while adhering to operational protocols. The candidate assists the Warehouse, Production, Engineering, and Customer Service teams in locating materials.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a tugger vehicle or forklift to transport materials, parts, or finished products within the warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility, following predetermined routes.

Load required materials onto the tugger vehicle or forklift, including purchased goods, work-in-process containers, and finished goods pallets; safely unload materials at designated areas.

Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory levels and ensure accuracy in the warehouse, reconciling physical counts with inventory records, investigating and resolving discrepancies through root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

Pick production materials identified on Kanban cards and ensure all materials are delivered on time to support production needs.

Work closely with operators, material handlers, and line supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency and coordinate material movements.

Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping tasks and following the principles of 5S.

Follow all safety rules and regulations while operating warehouse equipment, such as order pickers, tuggers, and forklifts.

Requirements

Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on tugger vehicles, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.

Physical stamina to frequently walk, bend, reach, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

Excellent attention to detail for accurate counting, reporting, and safe material navigation.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a warehouse environment that may expose workers to varying temperatures and conditions; personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
