Position Title: Analyst II - Test Governance & Coordination
Position Summary
Within the IT Business Systems and Analysis Department, the Test Governance & Coordination Analyst supports development of quality standards, audits, test intake/planning, and user acceptance test coordination. The role serves as liaison between IT and business units, ensuring technical solution user acceptance testing from test case development through release approval and post‑production validation, tracked, updated, and reported for successful project delivery. The analyst continuously improves processes and handles complex assignments delegated by management in terms of objectives rather than specific instructions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development of UAT quality standards, educate teams, and conduct governance checks.
Audit UAT activities and ensure UAT delivery.
Lead UAT test coordination across multiple business teams on simultaneous projects, including product implementations, enhancements, upgrades, releases, and change requests.
Collaborate with technical and business roles—Project Managers, Business Process Engineers, Quality Engineers, Developers, Security Engineers, Business Systems Analysts, Vendors/Business teams—within Test Governance.
Participate in test intake/planning and test estimations.
Contribute to UAT test strategy and test plan, defining testing scope, test data needs, test environments, configuration needs, locations/logistics, etc.
Support UAT kickoff—status reporting, DevOps access/training, application training, etc.
Plan and execute UAT test scripts daily.
Perform functional testing activities on various applications as needed.
Develop and implement metrics and maintain visual management tools.
Participate in daily UAT stand‑ups and report status updates.
Attend scheduled calls with extended project team members.
Build and manage UAT test scripts in DevOps—own structure, load test scripts, and manage test scripts.
Gather UAT test results from various business teams and upload results back to Test Management tools (Azure DevOps).
Manage UAT defects—verify test plan execution, manage and report defects.
Define test datasets between business teams for end‑to‑end test coverages.
Assist in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and job aids related to job functions, procedures, and technical guidelines.
Coordinate and prepare documentation for internal/external audits.
Train and provide guidance to other analysts on the team as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Three (3) years in IT Quality Assurance with experience coordinating UAT testing with business teams and using Test Management tools.
Experience managing business relationships with stakeholders.
Health Plan Operations and Government Programs experience preferred; healthcare experience desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Health Care, Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting, or related field from an accredited institution required.
Knowledge of Managed Care systems and client/server applications (Preferred).
Understanding of SDLC life cycle and QE methodologies.
Principles and methods of systems analysis for data processing (Required).
Principles of sound testing methodologies (Required).
Knowledge of Test Management and Reporting Tools (Required).
Knowledge of Test Planning and Estimates (Required).
Sound research techniques (Preferred).
Knowledge of health plan business operations (Preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs including Visio (Required).
Excellent written and oral communication skills (Required).
Proven analytical and problem‑solving capabilities (Required).
Project management understanding and skills (Preferred).
Ability to work independently, under pressure, balance multiple projects, and be deadline‑driven (Required).
Ability to follow through and track outstanding tasks and coordinate with owners to ensure timely completion (Required).
