What You Will Do
In this role you will use your customer service experience, investigative skills, and detail orientation to handle Personal Injury Protection and MedPay claims. You will communicate with insureds and other relevant parties and use your decision‑making skills to settle claims within your assigned authority.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve PIP and MedPay claims.
Operate independently and resolve claim files within a higher authority limit.
Interpret coverage, assess comparative negligence, evaluate damages and negotiate settlements with limited supervisor intervention.
Handle less complex litigated files; on occasion may attend mediation or trials and direct defense counsel in the resolution of claims.
Consult with Supervisor on more complex coverage and technical matters.
Provide technical support for less experienced Specialists when required.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
What You Need
Four‑year degree or equivalent experience preferred.
2–4 years of insurance claims experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage a high‑volume caseload.
Licensing
Required to obtain your license(s) as an adjuster in the state(s) in which you are assigned to adjust claims. Licensing must be obtained within the timeframe set forth by the Company and maintained throughout your employment.
Salary
Salary range: $58,500 – $75,000. The final salary within the internal range reflects work experience, geographic location, education, certifications, scope and responsibilities, and additional qualifications.
