Position Summary
Glow are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Senior Accountant
to join our growing finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring compliance with
U.S. GAAP , supporting financial reporting, and enhancing internal controls. The ideal candidate has experience in
financial services or FinTech , thrives in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the
monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes , ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and review
journal entries , account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Ensure compliance with
U.S. GAAP
and other relative international standards, regulatory requirements, and company accounting policies.
Assist in the preparation of
financial statements and management reports.
Support
external and internal audits , including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with
Operations, Compliance, and broader Finance teams
Maintain and enhance
internal controls .
Support accounting for
FinTech-specific transactions , such as payment processing, revenue recognition, digital wallets, lending, or interchange fees.
Assist with
regulatory and statutory reporting as required.
Drive process automation and improvements within accounting systems and workflows.
Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting .
CPA preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within
financial services, banking, payments, or FinTech . (Start-up experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of
U.S. GAAP
and financial reporting requirements. (U.K. GAAP and IFRS a plus)
Experience with
ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Excel .
Experience with modern AI tooling (Claude Cowork, etc.) strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience with
month-end close and
audit processes .
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
