About the role
The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machine tools and related equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and production efficiency. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and controls knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
The role is a fully on-site
role located in our Lincoln, CA offices.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Do
Fill machines with coolant, way oil, chuck grease and other necessary fluids
Adjust and maintain coolant concentration using a refractometer
Empty chip barrels
Diagnose and repair CNC machine issues including mills, lathes, and multi‑axis equipment
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance per OEM specifications
Inspect machines for wear, leaks, vibrations, and alignment issues
Keep a daily log of all machine maintenance, document PMs, repairs, and machine history accurately
Oversee and track outside processing activities by coordinating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely completion and minimal production disruption
Communicate clearly with operators, programmers, supervisors, and management
Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area
Ensure machine safety devices and interlocks are functional
What You’ll Need
3–5+ years hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools in a production environment
Ability to perform and document preventive maintenance schedules
Ability to work safely in energized cabinets
Hands‑on experience managing chip and scrap removal including: chip conveyors, augers, and filtration
Strong attention to detail and consistency when performing routine maintenance across a large fleet of machines
Coordinating with vendors to ensure proper disposal and segregation of waste materials
Additional Knowledge a Plus
Experience acting as a lead technician or informal maintenance supervisor
Experience with multi‑axis CNC machines
Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
