
Shipping and Receiving Technician II

JOB SUMMARY:
The Shipping and Receiving Technician II is responsible for independently performing a variety of duties involving receiving, warehousing, material handling, shipping, planning, and tracking of materials in accordance with customer specifications, company requirements, and shipping and receiving regulations. Work is self-directed and performed independently.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
Ship product according to customer specifications and company requirements
Follow all domestic and foreign shipping regulations
Verify accuracy of item count and product details
Prepare product for shipping
Operate equipment to package, label, and move shipping material
Accurately complete required documentation using a computer and related software
Document movement of material in the ERP system
Follow all safety rules, regulations, and procedures
Uphold the standards necessary to maintain our business certifications and good quality standards and practices associated with them
Recognize and refer discrepancies to supervisory personnel before proceeding
Monitor and re-stock shipping supplies
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
Obtain and maintain certifications as required
Attend training as required, including when applicable, training for handling and shipment of hazardous products
Identify and solve potential problems with customer orders
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely shipment
Perform cycle counts
Perform incoming inspections
Look for and suggest efficiency gains
Mentor/lead other employees
Delegate and plan work as needed
Sustain a steady work pace, adjusting schedule as needed
Assist other departments as assigned
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
3 years of work experience required and/or deemed competent in at least 2 qualifying operations
Possess basic computer data entry skills and basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Ability to perform math calculations
Ability to communicate effectively and to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
Ability to develop an understanding of Indium Corporation products
Competent in Shipping and Receiving Technician I responsibilities
Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

WAGE DISCLOSURE:
The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
$16.50 per hour - $23.50 per hour
($34,000 - $48,500 annually)
