Location
This position will be based in Ontario, Oregon, with a hybrid schedule - two days onsite and three days remote.

Position Summary & Highlights

The Medical Staff Services Department provides medical staff with a variety of services to help them complete their jobs proficiently.

The Department acts as a liaison between providers and administration, providing customer service to about 1,400 providers and verifying compliance and credentialing.

As a colleague in the Department, you will learn compliance, credentialing, and continuing education requirements while working in a strong customer service-based team environment.

This position will work with both of the Boise and Nampa hospital teams initially primarily on-site with the possibility of remote work a few days a week after the probationary period.

What You Will Do

Coordinate Medical Staff Department meetings, Subsection and Committee meetings and serve as an administrative liaison to ensure business is conducted in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, JCAHO, and applicable Federal and State Laws.

Process initial requests for membership and privileges, including the new physician orientation and tour process.

Complete credential files including initial files, reappointments, data for privileges for the health system, and facilitate harmonious relationship with providers.

Manage the sponsorship program, coordinate requests for modification to staff status and/or privileges, and facilitate harmonious relationship with providers.

Work on Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations on Providers (OPPE) data and check expiration dates on board certifications and other certifications needed for the provider to practice their level of medicine.

Complete and maintain various statistical tables, databases, mailing lists, email lists and graphs according to established departmental policies, procedures and timelines.

Provide technical expertise on department rules and regulations, medical staff bylaws and development of privileging criteria.

Work Schedule
40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, around the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in business or health-related field required. Bachelor’s degree in business or health-related field preferred.

Two (2) years of medical office work may be accepted in lieu of associate’s degree.
