Overview

Asphalt Equipment Operator. We are looking for a reliable and skilled Asphalt Equipment Operator to join our paving crew. This role involves safely and efficiently operating various types of heavy equipment including skid steers, tractor brooms, rollers, pavers, and milling machines to assist in completing asphalt paving and maintenance projects. This position requires physical labor, working in outdoor conditions, and operating heavy equipment.
Responsibilities

Operating a skid steer to load materials, grade surfaces, and assist in prep work.
Running a tractor broom to sweep and prepare surfaces for paving or milling operations.
Using a roller to compact and finish asphalt to required density and smoothness.
Operating an asphalt paver to lay down hot mix asphalt in an accurate and uniform manner.
Using a milling machine to remove existing asphalt layers with precision and attention to elevation and slope.
Performing routine maintenance checks on equipment and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Assisting with general labor tasks as needed, including shoveling, raking, and traffic control.
Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Communicating with the foreman and crew to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
Availability to work 8-12+ hours a day and travel Monday through Friday all over Arizona and surrounding states.
Qualifications

2+ years experience in asphalt construction.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for paving equipment.
A valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
