Summary of Job

The Production Supervisor drives operational excellence by leading a high-performing team to meet and exceed KPIs across Safety, Quality, Service, and Efficiency. This position strategically coordinates labor and machinery schedules to optimize output. As a frontline leader, the Production Supervisor is responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring 100% compliance with food safety standards and production deadlines. This role supports the Director of Operation in streamlining workflows and developing a skilled, safety-conscious workforce.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Comply and enforce all safety rules regarding personnel safety and report and investigate any unsafe condition.
Supervise the operation of production lines in accordance with FDA guidelines, GMPs, and HACCP/SQF program guidelines.
Leverage the Infor M3 system to ensure all production data is accurately captured and reported daily by maintaining high levels of data integrity within the ERP environment.
Manage shift transitions and labor reconciliation by utilizing M3 and integrated production scheduling tools.
Responsible for auditing daily production standards against system outputs to ensure operational alignment and reporting accuracy.
Utilize lean, six-sigma, quality methodologies and other continuous improvement tools to track KPI’s, metrics.
Comply with and enforce the cleaning procedures in changes of product and weekly production end.
Supervise and coordinate all activities related to the production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
Audit the floor as required, monitor productivity metrics, verify adherence to procedures/ standard work and correct deficiencies as necessary.
Supervise lead, coach, train and develop the production team.
Meet and enforce cleaning practices for manufacturing (5S's methodology).
Lead by example to promote and encourage employees to comply with all safety requirements.
Resolve problems and mitigate operational issues that result in negative performance.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees; planning, assigning & directing work; appraising performance; rewarding & disciplining employees; addressing complaints & resolving problems.
Supervise and promote practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards, and serve the needs of our customers.
Establish an environment that encourages employee engagement, participation and teamwork within and between all departments.
Becomes personally accountable for the highest quality and integrity standards of behavior, honesty, and fairness in all aspects of the job.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Food Safety Responsibilities

Follow all relevant food safety rules including SQF, cGMPs, and Food Defense.
Report any observed food safety violations to your supervisor immediately.
Education and Qualifications

Five (5) years’ supervisory experience required with demonstrated strong leadership and management skills.
Five (5) years of experience in a production environment
Three (3) years of experience with MRP systems.
Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, six-sigma or other continuous improvement tools
Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
Able to work overtime, and flexible schedules
MS Office literate
Preferred

5-10+ years manufacturing supervision experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
Lean or Six-sigma certifications
Certified as Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred
Knowledge of Food Quality Systems, (SQF) preferred
Food industry knowledge preferred.
Comprehension of statistical tools preferred
