Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role is responsible for administering, supporting, and securing enterprise infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. The ideal candidate has strong Windows and Linux systems experience, solid Microsoft 365 administration skills, a security‑first mindset, and a collaborative approach to supporting internal teams and development operations.
This role reports to the Director of IT.
Hybrid role with regular onsite presence required in Wall Township, NJ.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support Windows Server and Windows 11 environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, DNS, DHCP, file/print services, and vulnerability management
Manage and maintain Linux systems (Ubuntu, RHEL), including installation, patching, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
Administer the Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, Security, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Purview, Teams, and M365 GCC
Monitor system health, security, and performance across servers, endpoints, and cloud services
Support identity, access, and endpoint security controls, including MFA, Conditional Access, and Microsoft security tooling
Support VMware environments, including VM provisioning, resource management, and troubleshooting
Assist with AWS administration and monitoring, including EC2, S3, and IAM
Execute patching, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening using tools such as PDQ Deploy, PDQ Inventory, and Action1
Install, configure, test, and support approved software applications; provide limited support for macOS development laptops
Troubleshoot network and application connectivity issues using TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, OSI model, and tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump
Support FedRAMP and broader compliance efforts by maintaining technical controls, collecting audit evidence, and documenting procedures aligned to NIST 800‑53, SOC 2, and ISO 27001
Provide L2 internal support and serve as an escalation point for the service desk using Jira Service Management
Create and maintain system documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base content
Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python to improve efficiency
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
3–5 years of systems administration experience in Windows and Linux environments
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including user/license management and core services
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity troubleshooting
Experience with VMware administration
Familiarity with FedRAMP and regulated/compliance‑driven environments
Experience with patching, vulnerability management, and IT security best practices
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams
Comfortable supporting issues outside standard business hours when needed
Strong ownership mindset with a desire to learn and drive issues to completion
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Ability to pass background screening
