Overview
Technical Product Manager- embedded software (firmware)
Role
Responsible for cooperation with customers and Delta design & factory teams during development, deployment, commissioning, onsite debug & troubleshooting, pre-sale, post-sale and field support to remove technical and non-technical obstacles in development and integration of Delta products into customer’s systems. You must be able to leverage and combine technical expertise with project management and sales techniques to ensure timely execution of pending tasks, high customer satisfaction and help to improve company sales.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support focusing on software and firmware related aspects to analyze and understand problems of Delta products in customer’s applications. Collect accurate information of usage and failure mode and work with Delta teams on effective closure of the issue
Act as a “bridge” and single contact window between customers and various Delta business units to provide software/firmware related support for each respective product
Provide accurate technical information and general commercial data to customers to address their inquiries about existing and new Delta products
Provide roadmap presentations and lead technical discussions to evaluate customer’s requirements and to promote Delta products and technologies
Co-operate and support account managers and regional sales teams to create and develop relationships with new customers
Collaborate with Delta design, factory and quality teams to facilitate communication between those teams and customers to drive closure on customer deliverables
Qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge and expertise in any of the following fields: power supplies (PSU) or coolant distribution units (CDU) control and communication firmware, Ethernet, Redfish, Modbus and other industrial protocols, network switch operating systems
BSEE with minimum 5 years or MSEE with 3 years experience in design or applications engineering
Ability to effectively analyze & debug issues in customer’s applications as well as to manage and drive the problem-solving process between customers and Delta teams
Ability to build up relationships with customers & present Delta products and technologies
Ability to properly prioritize tasks and respond to each of them individually
Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills: ability to understand a customer needs and probe for answers, to determine a solution and advocate that solution to the customer.
Ready to travel out of state and out of country
