Overview
THRIVE Corps, The Hub's VISTA program, centers the belief that Teamwork and Hope for Remarkable Innovators creates Vibrant Economies. When communities THRIVE, we all THRIVE. Joining THRIVE Corps as a VISTA Leader will give you a front seat to developing the next generation of Central Appalachia's Economic Development workforce, as we partner with rural communities and small organizations to end generational poverty in West Virginia. This role will also support work of The Hub to celebrate local leaders and the role they play in building their community's economy.
Member Duties
Build sustainable processes to improve VISTA recruitment and retention at The Hub.
Assess the pilot summer associate program and streamline procedures for data and report collection.
Assist the Program Manager with recruitment by managing relationships with university career services, academic departments, and local community partners to identify potential members.
Serve as a mentor for members across WV, facilitate monthly check-ins and develop customized trainings for both in-person and online delivery based on member needs.
Coordinate service projects for National Days of Service and other AmeriCorps initiatives.
Collaborate with Hub Leadership Programs on longitudinal learning projects to inform future direction of individual leadership development programming.
