Orthopedics Physician

• Start Date: July 17, 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Current Coverage Need:
  • July 17 (7:00 AM) - July 20 (7:00 AM)
• Future Need: Ongoing ED call coverage (including 2027 dates being planned)
• Expected Frequency: 9 call shifts/month (including 1-2 weekends/month)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible - Orthopedic Surgery

• BLS
• ACLS

• Setting: Acute care hospital
• Trauma Level: III
• EMR: Epic
• Beds: 99
• Inpatient Orthopedic Census: 10 patients/day
• Patients per Shift (Call): 6

• ED orthopedic call coverage (Beeper call)
• Total hip arthroplasty capability (required)
• Total knee arthroplasty (preferred but not mandatory)
• Simple fracture management
• Hip fracture surgical repair (must be able to perform)
• Admissions required
• Assigned rounding patients

• Must respond to all calls within 15 minutes
• Must be onsite within 30 minutes when needed
• Callback range: 0-4 hours typical
• Does not need to remain in-house during call shifts

• 2 employed orthopedic surgeons
• 1 additional credentialed orthopedic physician

• Focus is ED call orthopedic coverage
• Strong preference for providers comfortable with acute fracture and arthroplasty care
• Referral bonuses available
