About The Role
Assist the Shipping departments by transporting parts and finished products to designated areas.
Este puesto apoya a los departamentos de Envíos transportando piezas y productos terminados a las áreas designadas.
What You’ll Do (Lo Que Hará)
Use a forklift to organize and store parts in designated areas.
Use a forklift to assist with unloading trucks at the shipping department.
Assist in locating and retrieving parts for employees as requested.
Assist in storing finished cooling packages completed prior to shipment dates.
Assist in preparing cooling packages for shipment, including banding, wrapping, and bolting finished packages to skids.
Use a forklift to load trucks going to storage facilities and assist with loading other trucks arriving at the Shipping department as needed.
Use a saw to build wooden skids as needed.
Report any issues to the Supervisor or appropriate personnel as soon as they are detected.
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and requirements outlined in AKG’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
Maintain regular physical attendance as required. Refer to AKG attendance policy in the Employee Handbook.
Physical Demands (Demandas Físicas)
Must be able to sit (20%) and stand (80%) of the time. May also be required to bend, stoop, pull, push, twist, and turn.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (10%) of the time. Heavy lifting required throughout the shift.
Must be able to use a pallet jack, chain hoist, saw, band cutter, and a crowbar.
Must use safety equipment such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Safety glasses and hearing protection are provided.
