Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position where the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of manufacturing equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and building maintenance.
Responsibilities
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure smooth operations.
Inspect machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
Carry out repairs on machinery and equipment to avoid downtime.
Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Operate welding tools to fix heavy machinery and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Keep a record of all maintenance and repair work done, including the cause of the problem and the solution implemented.
Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement strategies to improve the performance and lifespan of machinery and equipment.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
Qualifications
Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Hold a relevant trade qualification or certification.
Possess strong knowledge and skills in electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and building maintenance.
Have a solid understanding of electrical systems and mechanical systems.
Be proficient in welding and other industrial repair methods.
Be able to read and understand complex electrical and mechanical diagrams.
Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work well in a team.
Be physically fit and able to lift heavy machinery and equipment.
Have a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
