• Estimated Weekly Pay: $13,650 - $14,620 (competitive locum tenens pay)
• Location: Rockford, IL (61108) - Rockford vascular surgery job; excellent access to riverfronts, parks, dining, and outdoor recreation.
• Employment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Physician (13-week contract)
• Practice Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center (general vascular surgery, endovascular cases)
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (Any)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• End Date: August 31, 2026
• Coverage: Flexible, sporadic shifts based on team needs

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois medical license required (IMLC not accepted)
• MD or DO degree
• Minimum 1 year of vascular surgery experience (open and endovascular)
• Clean background and ability to credential at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Comfortable performing both open and endovascular procedures
• Ability to work effectively with APPs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Provide locum tenens vascular surgery coverage for a busy general vascular practice
• Manage an average inpatient/outpatient census of 5-10 patients per day
• Perform approximately 6 outpatient elective procedures per shift, including endovascular cases
• Participate in clinic duties, inpatient rounding, and perioperative care
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers (APPs), nursing, and surgical teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain documentation and follow institutional protocols for a Level 1 Trauma Center
