The Opportunity
The Systems Administrator shall provide broad management of C2ISR Data Transport Infrastructure technological platforms. Support shall focus on ensuring secure, efficient operation of global transport infrastructure systems across diverse network environments.
Responsibilities
Applies fundamental operating system (e.g., Linux/Windows Server) and network protocol (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS) knowledge to support the secure and efficient operation of C2ISR Data Transport Infrastructure platforms.
Support of GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE Primary transport and dissemination systems including DDS, B1DDS, B2TR, B3IGS.
Support of Cloud infrastructure including GC2, mC2, Joint Cloud with DAF CLOUDworks.
Support of Operations and Management systems including ServiceNow, CDS, CAAP.
Support of network Infrastructure including RGEPs, IGEPs, MGEP, ground terminals and gateways.
Support of Multiple network domains (e.g., Commercial, NIPR (CUI), SIPR, JWICS).
Performs routine system administration tasks such as user account creation and modification within Active Directory or LDAP, basic file system management, and verifying system logs (e.g., syslog, Windows Event Viewer) for anomalies.
Assists in implementing systematic monitoring agents (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus exporters) on technological systems and network components, configuring basic alert thresholds and responding to low-severity notifications.
Supports user and systems access management by executing predefined scripts or GUI tools for granting/revoking permissions to shared resources.
Aids in the coordination and support of Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) by performing pre- and post-maintenance checks and providing initial support for troubleshooting common system errors (e.g., service restart, disk space issues).
Works under direct supervision, focusing on executing routine operational tasks, basic scripting (e.g., simple Bash/PowerShell commands), and developing foundational knowledge of C2ISR system administration processes and environments.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
3 years' experience providing system administrator support in a DoD environment.
CompTIA A+, Network+, Certified Network Defender (CND) certifications.
Obtain DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within 6 months of hire.
Desired
Experience with Role Specific Tools such as:
Operating system administration tools (Windows Admin Center, Linux shell utilities).
Virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper V); Active Directory and LDAP.
Service Desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy).
Remote desktop support tools (Microsoft Remote Desktop, TeamViewer).
Backup and disaster recovery platforms (Veeam, Commvault); SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar).
Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).

Pay Range
$49,200 - $100,900
