Orthopedic Surgeon opening in New MexicoAlamogordo, NMFull TimeAbout the Opportunity Patient Volume: Approx. 4,000 patient visits per year Catchment Area: Serves a wide rural region across Southern New Mexico, minimizing competition and supporting robust patient demandProcedures Performed Fracture Care & Trauma Surgery: Managing injuries common in farming, construction, and outdoor activities Arthroscopic Procedures: Minimally invasive repairs for knees, shoulders, and ankles (meniscus, rotator cuff, labrum) Sports Medicine Procedures: ACL reconstructions, tendon repairs, and treatments for athletic populations Carpal Tunnel & Hand Surgery: Addressing common workforce and aging population needs Revision Surgeries: Managing failed joint replacements or post-operative complications Total Joint Replacements: Hip, knee, and shoulder replacements for aging and arthritic patientsExperience & Skills Experience: 3-5 years of general orthopedic practice with proficiency in joint replacements, arthroscopy, and fracture care Preferred (Not Required): Fellowship training in joint replacement, sports medicine, trauma, or hand/foot and ankle surgery Surgical Expertise: Skilled in both minimally invasive and traditional open surgeries for arthritis, fractures, and sports injuries Collaboration: Experience working within a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, pain management specialists, and podiatristsRequirements Eligible for or able to obtain a New Mexico medical license Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic SurgeryAdditional Details Visa Sponsorship: H1B and J1 sponsorship available
