Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency care including evaluation, resuscitation, stabilization, triage, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of patients.
- Manage acute and emergent conditions across all organ systems, including trauma, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine, neurological, psychiatric, and OB/GYN emergencies.
- Perform minor procedures: suturing, incision & drainage, local anesthesia, IV placement, catheterization, and spinal immobilization.
- Perform major emergency procedures when appropriate: central/arterial lines, chest tube
eedle thoracostomy, airway management, defibrillation, cardioversion, lumbar puncture, fracture/dislocation reduction, procedural sedation, pericardiocentesis, temporary pacemaker placement, and cricothyrotomy. - Review inpatient admissions and ensure person-to-person handoffs.
- Provide consultation and guidance to other clinicians and coordinate referrals as needed.
- Apply or supervise orthopedic devices (splints, braces) for injuries.
- Follow established medication policies; no sample medications.
- Provide discharge instructions and follow-up guidance.
- Ensure timely communication of test results in accordance with guidelines.
- Medical License Current, full, and unrestricted license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- Board Certification / Eligibility Emergency Medicine.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) Copy of diploma or official verification.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) NPI number verification.
- DEA Registration Current certificate.
- OIG Exclusion List Check Proof of clearance from the Office of Inspector General.
