Sleep Medicine Physician

University of Kentucky HealthCare is seeking a full-time Sleep Medicine Physician to join the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. This non-tenure track faculty position is open-rank, with academic appointment determined by experience and qualifications. The position focuses on outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient consultation, and interpretation of sleep studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient sleep medicine services.
  • Interpret and manage sleep studies, including polysomnography and home sleep apnea testing.
  • Participate in clinical teaching for medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Contribute to department didactics and academic programming.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Overseeing Advance Practice Providers.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • MD or DO or equivalent degree.
  • Completion of ACGME-accredited Sleep Medicine Fellowship.
  • Clinical experience in Sleep Medicine.
  • Board Certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Kentucky Medical License (required within 30 days of employment).
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Board eligible or certified in Sleep Medicine.
Preferred:
  • Experience in an academic medical center or teaching hospital.
  • Evidence of academic research or experience as program director.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
