Pay: $1,000 $1,100 per day

About the Role

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Physician (MD/DO) to conduct Veterans Affairs (VA) disability evaluations in Honolulu, HI. This is a one-time, assessment-only role focused on clinical evaluations, medical record review, and electronic documentation to support Veterans benefit determinations.

There is no treatment, prescribing, or ongoing patient care involved.

Schedule & Workload
  • 1 day per week (weekday availability)

  • 8-hour clinic day (8:00 AM 5:00 PM)

  • Average of 2 4 Veteran evaluations per day

  • No call, no weekends

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct one-time VA disability evaluations for Veterans

  • Review medical records and claim-related abstracts prior to exams

  • Perform assessments related to Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) when applicable

  • Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and medical opinions

  • Document findings electronically using a web-based exam platform

  • Submit completed records within 24 hours of each exam

Qualifications
  • MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in one of the following:

    • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R / Physiatry)

    • Neurology

    • Neurosurgery

    • Psychiatry

  • Active, unrestricted medical license (any U.S. state)

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience

  • TBI experience preferred but not required

  • Strong documentation, typing, and time management skills
