- Full-time, permanent position
- Outpatient only
- Monday-Friday, daytime shifts
- Provides direct psychiatric services and consultation on site, at satellite offices, via telemedicine, or through consultation contracts
- Opportunity to serve a diverse outpatient population
- Acts as a liaison with hospital staff, other professionals, and agencies regarding psychiatric care Clinical Details
- Performs comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment of assigned patients
- Prescribes and manages medications according to current standards of care
- Provides psychiatric consultations as indicated or requested
- Makes referrals or recommendations for appropriate services
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation and records Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Licensed to practice medicine in Iowa upon hire
- Minimum 4 years of experience in psychiatry (can include residency)
- Must obtain board certification within 2 years if not already certified
- Experience in community mental health preferred
