Summary:

The Manager of Elementary Adventure Programs is responsible for designing and leading a best-in-class elementary adventure experience. This role oversees semester planning and curriculum design, ensuring a strong balance of academic rigor, creativity, and developmentally appropriate learning. They build a cohesive adventure program that integrates classroom instruction with enriching day trips and field experiences, extending learning beyond the classroom. As the leader of the program, this individual sets clear expectations for instructional quality, drives consistency across classrooms, and continuously improves the student experience. Ultimately, they are accountable for elevating the elementary program into a flagship model that students thrive in and families actively seek out.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and organize semester schedules, including pacing, themes, and key learning outcomes.
Design and refine adventure curriculum that is engaging, rigorous, and developmentally appropriate.
Teach regularly as the elementary lead instructor, modeling high-quality classroom practices.
Lead and support teachers in delivering consistent, excellent instruction across classrooms.
Coordinate and oversee day trips and field experiences that extend and enrich classroom learning.
Set clear standards for student experience, classroom culture, and instructional quality.
Observe classrooms, provide feedback, and coach teachers to improve performance.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the needs and priorities of Radius.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field
3-5 years of elementary education experience
Experience in outdoor adventure leadership
Ability to obtain proficiency as a rappel and climbing guide, as well as an expedition leader
Ability to obtain a Wilderness First Responder certification
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in education or related field
Previous experience in program management
Experience with curriculum design and instructional leadership
Experience in outdoor adventure leadership

Report directly to the Director of Radius Adventure
Work Schedule:

Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. MT, with occasional weekends and evenings required for trips.
Location/Travel:

Hybrid-Remote, with some travel to Utah and Colorado required for trip guiding.
Compensation Range:

$52,000 – $57,000 per year (based on experience)
Optional enrollment in 401(k) plan
