Job Description
Albany International Corp is a global advanced textiles and materials processing company. The company has two core businesses. Machine Clothing segment is the world’s leading producer of custom‑designed fabrics and belts essential to production in the paper, nonwovens, and other process industries, and Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is a rapidly growing supplier of highly engineered composite parts for the aerospace industry.
Job Purpose
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Communications Intern to support our efforts in crafting compelling messages and engaging content for our internal and external audiences. The Communications team works cross‑functionally, providing an opportunity to interact with colleagues across various business units and functions at Albany.
Responsibilities
Content Creation and Management
Assist in writing and editing engaging content for our intranet, e-Boards, emails, press releases, and social media platforms.
Support the creation of visual assets, such as graphics, photos, or videos.
Research and develop content ideas aligned with the company’s mission and goals.
Social Media Management
Help manage and monitor social‑media channels, including drafting and scheduling posts. Analyze engagement metrics to provide insights and suggestions for improving social media strategies.
Respond to comments and messages on social platforms in a professional and timely manner, when required.
Internal Communications
Contribute to internal announcements, support communication for Human Resources initiatives, and employee engagement campaigns.
Support the creation and distribution of communication materials for internal events and initiatives.
Help coordinate communication, planning, and logistics for occasional employee events.
Administrative Tasks
Organize and maintain digital files, including communication materials and media assets.
Support team members with scheduling, meeting preparation, and other tasks as needed.

Education, Experience, and Skills
Education and Experience
Current pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed.
Minimum GPA 3.0
Abilities
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
Basic design skills (experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus).
Basic photography and photo editing skills a plus.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong interest in storytelling, branding, and digital communications.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
