Position: Non-Invasive Cardiologist (Locum to Permanent Opportunity) Location: Richmond, VA (Remote providers considered for local full-time coverage; in-person presence required for scheduled shifts and call duties) Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our esteemed cardiology team on a locum-to-permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient cardiology services within a collaborative practice setting. Conduct non-invasive cardiovascular procedures, including electrocardiograms (EKGs), and interpret results accurately. Manage a diverse adult and geriatric patient population, ensuring high-quality diagnostic and consultative care. Participate in clinical documentation using the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Support the care team by supervising four Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs), ensuring seamless patient management and workflow. Be available for scheduled call duties on a rotation of approximately 1:6, ensuring 24/7 patient coverage. Collaborate with the existing cardiology team, which includes one full-time cardiologist, to coordinate patient care effectively. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and uphold hospital policies and protocols. Qualifications: Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease from an accredited institution. Valid medical license to practice in Virginia. Proven experience in non-invasive cardiology, with proficiency in EKG interpretation. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Prior experience working within EPIC EMR systems is preferred. Credentials & Timeframe: Estimated credentialing period of approximately 120 days. Candidate must be local to the Richmond area or able to obtain necessary credentials promptly. Work Schedule & Coverage: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with scheduled call duties (approximately 1:6 rotation). Coverage is needed ASAP until the candidate is fully credentialed and onboarded.
