Emergency Medicine Physician Join our dynamic team as an Emergency Medicine Physician and make a vital impact in providing high-quality acute care. We are seeking dedicated professionals ready to deliver exceptional care during 12-hour overnight shifts, contributing to the health and safety of our community. Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to provide standard solo emergency room coverage during overnight shifts. This position involves delivering comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population, with an annual patient volume of approximately 32,000, averaging 90-100 patients daily. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering timely, efficient, and compassionate care in a collaborative hospital setting. Required Skills: Valid medical license in North Carolina Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS (must do not submit non-enrolled candidates) Proficiency with Meditech 6.1 EMR system Experience managing an ICU setting or open ICU requirements Ability to perform solo emergency medicine duties during 12-hour shifts Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Nice to Have Skills: Previous experience working in an open ICU environment Additional certifications such as ATLS, ACLS, or PALS Experience working with diverse patient populations Bilingual abilities Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience in a high-volume ER setting Active North Carolina medical license Other Requirements: Must be enrolled in NC Medicaid and PECOS Availability to work the scheduled shifts starting July 4, 2026 Travel costs for travel-related reimbursements capped at $500 when applicable Must comply with hospital policies and infection control protocols This is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise to a respected facility and support your professional growth.
