Neurosurgery Locums Job in Ohio Trauma, Spine, Cranial Call One Week per Month One of our partnering facilities is seeking one week per month of locums Neurosurgery coverage beginning as soon as credentialed and ongoing. The locums Neurosurgeon will be doing 24-hour call Monday 7am-Monday 7am with 1 x 1/2 day in clinic. The hospital can be flexible on scheduling based on your availability but are seeking 1 candidate to do a full 7 day stretch per month. Ohio licensed or active IMLC candidates are encouraged to apply! Job Details/Requirements: 24-hour call coverage, 7am-7am One week per month, ongoing Clinic requirements:1 x day per week for patient follow ups Clinic volume: 20 patients per day Procedures: Primarily emergent/ urgent cases - EVD placement, craniotomies/ craniectomies for stroke/ trauma, bolt placement, spine trauma, emergent and urgent spine cases (osteodiscitis, epidural abscess, cauda equina, severe or progressive radiculopathy/ myelopathy, etc.), brain tumors (much less common and could be passed on to another surgeon), shunt repairs/ placement. Vascular lesions are either treated endovascularly or transferred out Surgeries per month: 5-10 Call Requirements: Call details: Cranial and spine call, trauma call, first call response for transfer patients and phone consults to free standing EDs Callback/patient volume: 2-3 phone calls, 6-12 consults per day (seen initially by APPs and reviewed with neurosurgeon on call by phone initially and seen in person within 24 hours) Facility Details: Level I Trauma Center Comprehensive stroke program Support: full APP in house coverage, do initial work up on consults Beds: 400+ EMR: EPIC Candidate Requirements:</st
