Permanent Consult Liaison Psychiatrist Job Brooklyn, New York

A large academic medical center in Brooklyn, New York is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to join an expanding academic and clinical service. This position offers a robust inpatient consultation-liaison role within a large, diverse tertiary care hospital serving a medically complex patient population. The psychiatrist will work closely with medical, surgical, ICU, obstetric, and specialty services, providing comprehensive psychiatric consultation and collaborative care.

Responsibilities include:
Providing inpatient psychiatric consultations across medical and surgical services
Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity hospital setting
Teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and medical students
Participating in departmental educational and academic activities
Opportunities for program development and collaborations with other subspecialties based on interest

Qualifications:
Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry fellowship
Eligibility for New York State medical licensure and DEA certification
Interest in academic psychiatry and medical education
Experience or interest in perinatal psychiatry preferred but not required
