Nocturnist Physician

Location: Los Angeles County, CA
Specialty: Internal Medicine Nocturnist
Duration: December 2025 June 2026 (potential to extend)
Schedule: 6 12 shifts per month
Shift: Monday Sunday, 7 PM 7 AM (day shifts not available)

Scope of Practice:
Provide on-site evaluation, management, and treatment of adult patients admitted to the hospital. Facilitate all admissions:

• Responsible for direct admissions from clinics and outside hospitals

• Complete admissions from the ETC by re-evaluating patients and entering admit orders

• Collaborate with the ICU physician and Rapid Response Nurse Practitioner to respond to all Code Blue (CB) and Rapid Response (RR) situations

• Respond promptly to all pages and calls unless managing CB/RR

Hospital Info:

• Cancer center with Evaluation & Treatment Center (ETC)

• 225 beds, including an 18-bed ICU and ETC beds

• EMR: EPIC

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine

• Active California medical license

• Reliable transportation (drive-in provider)

• Minimum 5 shifts per month available

• Clean NPDB

• Epic experience

• Current or recent nocturnist experience within the past 12 months
