Cost Accountant | Plainwell, MI
Salary Range:
$71,000 - $105,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain standard product costs.
Analyze manufacturing variances and provide detailed explanations.
Prepare cost of goods sold and inventory valuation reports.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes with cost data.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
Perform make-or-buy analysis and capital expenditure justifications.
Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
