• Location: Tucson, AZ (85711 & 85745) - hospital-based cardiac cath lab
• Facilities: Multiple hospital locations in Tucson
• Start Date: May 1, 2026
• End Date: July 30, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,150 - $7,280 (locum cardiologist pay range)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (schedule details to be determined)

Required Qualifications

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology (required)
• Active and unrestricted Physician license (Arizona license preferred or ability to obtain)
• Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional cardiology / cath lab (PCI experience required)
• Ability to complete credentialing within 30 days

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive interventional cardiology care in a hospital setting and cardiac catheterization lab
• Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and therapeutic procedures including PCI, angioplasty, and stent placement
• Manage acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and STEMI cases when required; coordinate timely reperfusion
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (cardiology, CV surgery, ICU, nursing) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient encounters clearly and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
• Participate in call coverage as needed (details to be determined)

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Experience with complex PCI, chronic total occlusion (CTO) interventions, and peripheral interventions is a plus
• Familiarity with current cath lab equipment and best practices for patient safety
• Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
