Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist Phoenix & Scottsdale, AZ Location:

️ Job Summary:

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist to provide locum tenens coverage at outpatient and/or inpatient facilities in the Phoenix and Scottsdale region. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work with a collaborative team in a thriving healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform GI procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, and consultative services
• Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Participate in call coverage as needed (may include nights/weekends)
• Document patient encounters in EMR systems

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in ERCP and/or EUS (preferred but not required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to new clinical environments

Schedule:

• Flexible shifts available (weekday, weekend, or block scheduling)
• Duration: 2 6 months with potential for extension

Requirements:

• MD or DO degree
• Active Arizona medical license (or willingness to obtain)
• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
