Position Summary
The Agricultural Chemical Loader / Sprayer Support role is responsible for safely preparing, mixing, and loading agricultural chemicals for licensed applicators. This position supports agronomy and spraying operations by ensuring chemicals are accurately prepared, equipment is properly supplied, and applicators can operate efficiently and safely in the field. This role does not perform chemical application, but plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in supporting applicators and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Chemical Mixing & Loading
Accurately mix and load agricultural chemicals for applicators according to label instructions and company standards
Measure, batch, and stage chemicals for daily spraying operations
Follow all safety procedures for handling, mixing, and loading chemicals
Maintain clean, organized, and compliant chemical mixing areas
Operational Support
Coordinate with applicators regarding chemical needs, schedules, and batch requirements
Transport chemicals and supplies to applicators as needed using a Class A CDL
Assist with staging, inventory rotation, and preparation of products
Safety & Compliance
Maintain required licenses and certifications, including Minnesota Applicator License (for mixing/loading)
Follow all state and federal regulations related to chemical handling and transportation
Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Maintain accurate records related to chemical usage and handling
Equipment & Facility Support
Perform basic inspections and cleaning of loading equipment, tanks, pumps, and hoses
Report equipment issues, spills, or safety concerns immediately
Assist with maintaining chemical storage facilities and containment systems
Team & Communication
Work closely with licensed applicators, agronomy staff, and operations teams
Communicate clearly regarding batch accuracy, shortages, or changes
Support peak seasonal operations with flexibility in hours and duties
Qualifications
Required
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Minnesota Applicator License (or ability to obtain/maintain)
Familiarity with farming operations and spraying workflows
Knowledge of agricultural chemicals and safe handling practices
Ability to accurately mix and load chemical batches
Preferred
Experience in agronomy operations, chemical handling, or farm support roles
Familiarity with DOT and hazardous materials transportation requirements
Experience working in seasonal or fast-paced agricultural environments
Skills & Competencies

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
