LHH is partnering with a well‑established company in
Montvale, NJ
in their search to hire a
Staff Accountant . This is an excellent role for someone currently in (or recently out of)
public accounting
who’s ready to move into private industry while continuing on the
CPA track .
You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to core accounting functions, work closely with senior leadership, and build long‑term stability without the demands of public accounting hours.
What You’ll Do
Support
month‑end close
including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Perform
bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations
Assist with
general ledger accounting
and variance analysis
Support
financial reporting
and audit requests
Partner cross‑functionally with AP, AR, and Finance leadership
Help improve accounting processes and documentation
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting or Finance
1–3+ years of public accounting experience
(or mix of public/private)
Actively pursuing or planning to pursue the
CPA
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems/ERP
Detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to grow in a private‑industry environment
