
Line Locator, Greeley Midstream

The Line Locator is responsible for locating and marking underground utilities, updating records, and assisting with the development of maps and other electronic data. The successful candidate must possess the ability to work both alone and in teams. The Line Locator will report to our facility in Greeley, CO.
This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. If you meet the required qualifications, a link will be emailed immediately after your application is received. Responsibilities
Locate and mark underground utilities using a variety of electronic equipment.
Maintain inventory of location and marking supplies, flags, paint, and batteries for electronics.
Assist in the administration, sorting, filing and follow‑up of underground utility locate requests.
Resolve questions or conflicts regarding locate requests, marking of lines, and respond in a timely manner to remarking requests and emergency assistance.
Assist in the development, drafting, and maintenance of miscellaneous diagrams, maps, and electronic data regarding underground systems.
Use a laptop to review maps and locations of underground utilities extensively.
Perform other duties from time to time as assigned.
Interpret open and close locate tickets using UtiliSphere Software.
Communicate effectively with contractors, other employees, and the general public.
Work in inclement weather conditions.
Be available for normally scheduled hours, overtime hours, and on‑call hours as needed.
Maintain a high volume of work output with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must maintain a valid driver license.
Willing and able to perform/comply with the following with or without reasonable accommodations:
Live/relocate within 45 minutes of reporting location.
Work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and be available for callouts or on‑call schedules.
Work in various types of terrain.
Frequently lift and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds.
Push/pull forces up to 130 pounds.
Regularly walk, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, or crouch for durations up to 3 minutes.
Work in conditions with heat, humidity, or other inclement weather.
Wear personal protective equipment such as flame‑retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel‑toed boots, and hard hats.
Safely work around moving equipment or in areas of high vehicle traffic.
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of utility locating experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $70,200 - $99,000.
