Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanical / Multicraft)
This role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, heavy trucks, and special-purpose machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Industrial Maintenance Technician uses strong electro‑mechanical skills to keep equipment running safely and efficiently, performs both mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs, and supports production needs as required.

Responsibilities

Install, adjust, and repair production equipment, heavy trucks, and special‑purpose machines as assigned.

Read and comprehend electrical schematics and apply them to troubleshooting and repair activities.

Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine appropriate repairs, and coordinate with the Head Mechanic for approval before proceeding.

Replace faulty parts, including electrical wires, motors, controls, circuit boards, and other components as needed.

Install equipment and electrical components, then test to verify proper operation and performance.

Troubleshoot electrical systems including MCC panels, motor starters, breakers, overloads, and fuses.

Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete assigned tasks.

Weld and use cutting torches as required for repairs and fabrication.

Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment for job‑specific tasks, including work performed at heights.

Dismantle equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to access and remove defective parts.

Replace and install mechanical and electrical parts to restore equipment to proper working condition.

Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), including lubricating and cleaning parts and equipment to ensure reliable operation.

Perform general repairs to plant structures as required.

Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area in compliance with company standards.

Assist with production operations as needed to support overall plant performance.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities on a temporary or permanent basis as required by operational needs.

Essential Skills

Proven experience in industrial maintenance with both mechanical and electrical responsibilities in a manufacturing or similar environment.

Strong ability to read, interpret, and comprehend electrical schematics and blueprints.

Hands‑on experience with electrical troubleshooting, including MCC panels, motor starters, breakers, overloads, and fuses.

Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting malfunctioning machinery and determining appropriate repair methods.

Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting.

Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of equipment.

Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.

Welding and cutting torch experience for repair and fabrication tasks.

Industrial electrical experience sufficient to qualify for internal Arc Flash training and certification.

Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and perform physically demanding tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and adherence to established procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Electro‑mechanical or multicraft maintenance background is preferred.

Experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment is beneficial.

Comfort working at heights when required for equipment access and repairs.

Ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance leadership and production teams.

Willingness to complete internal Arc Flash training to become certified to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.

Flexibility to assist with production tasks when needed and to take on additional responsibilities as operations evolve.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 – $41.00 per hour.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment that includes both indoor and partial outdoor work, often in dirty and dusty areas and around loud machinery. You will work with a wide range of industrial equipment, including production machinery, MCC panels, hoists, cranes, forklifts, and various hand and power tools. The role typically follows a 12‑hour schedule from 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday (approximately a 60‑hour work week with overtime included), with potential temporary day‑shift assignments for training or coverage needs. The environment requires consistent use of appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures while working around heavy machinery, electrical systems, and in noisy, physically demanding conditions.
