Job Summary
Spark by Hilton Mesa is seeking a reliable and hardworking Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the hotel property, guest rooms, and public areas to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained environment for our guests and team members.
The ideal candidate will have experience with general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and basic repairs. This role requires someone who is hands‑on, organized, and able to respond quickly to maintenance issues in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities
Perform repairs and maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff
Assist with preventive maintenance programs (PM) for guest rooms and building systems
Perform basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry
Inspect hotel property regularly to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are maintained
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs
Assist with room renovations and improvement projects when needed
Work with management to coordinate repairs and outside contractors when necessary
Qualifications
Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs efficientlyStrong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Good communication and teamwork skills
Schedule Requirements
Hotel operates 24 hours / 7 days a week
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs or more
Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work with tools and equipment
Additional Requirements
Non‑smoker preferred
Must maintain a professional appearance and follow hotel policies
Background check and drug screening may be required
