Oncology Nurse Practitioner Opportunity - Pagosa Springs, CO Location: Pagosa Springs, CO - Santa Fe, NM 150m Full-Time Schedule: 4 days/week, 10-hour shifts Position OverviewSeeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) with oncology subspecialty experience to join its Cancer Center team. This role focuses on managing oncology and infusion patients through comprehensive care, including examination, treatment, consultation, follow-up, referral, and ordering labs/imaging. The NP will also participate in patient satisfaction programs, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental goals to ensure safe, high-quality care.Position Highlights Full-time schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours) Work in dedicated Cancer Center Manage oncology and infusion patients across the care continuum Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction programsKey Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and examinations for oncology patients Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tests Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide ongoing follow-up care, referrals, and patient education Support quality improvement initiatives and organizational goals Maintain accurate and timely patient documentationQualifications Oncology subspecialty experience required Certification by ANCC or AANP Active DEA license Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner license Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skillsCompensation & Benefits Hourly Rate: $60.10 - $70.00 (based on experience) Paid Time Off: 260 hours per contract year CME Allowance: $6,000 annually (gross, subject to taxes) Health Insurance available for full-time employees Professional liability insurance provided Retirement Programs: 401a: 6% contribution by PSMC and employee, five-year vesting Optional 457 retirement plan participation Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer Estimated pay range/amount is Negotiable.
