Position Summary
The Office of Health Promotion at Villanova University is looking for a Graduate Assistant that is interested in college student health and well-being and working in an upbeat, interactive, and innovative department. This position requires in-person hours that will largely be spent on the following activities: facilitating bystander intervention training and One Love Escalation workshops, facilitating (and/or observing undergraduate Community Advocates who facilitate) Small Group Reflection for students who have experienced alcohol overdose and/or concerns related to cannabis, managing and facilitating Thrive 365 programming evaluation using
WISHES
(Well-Being Improvement Survey for Health Education Settings), and providing general assistance in office tabling and presentation requests, as needed.
Requirements
Applicants must be accepted or enrolled in a Villanova University full-time graduate program. Priority will be given to applicants accepted into the Higher Education Leadership concentration. Priority will be given to those enrolled in a multi-year program.
Additional Information
Applicants with demonstrated engagement in health and well-being activities in their undergraduate institution, who want to expand their skills in facilitating difficult conversations with undergraduate students, and who want to develop strong program evaluation skills should apply.
Physical Demands Summary
This position will, from time to time, require evening and/or weekend hours (depending on the activities in a given week). It will require transporting materials to/from activities. It will, from time to time, require facilitation for more than two hours.
