
Sr Analyst Workday Security & HCM

Job Description
The Sr HR Analyst HR Workday Security & HCM is responsible for the design, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of Workday Security and Core HCM within a complex global environment. This role partners closely with cross‑functional HR and IT stakeholders to ensure a secure, scalable, and well‑governed Workday ecosystem, supporting business continuity, audit compliance, and continuous improvement through biannual Workday releases.
Major Responsibilities
Business process configuration and optimization, such as condition rules, validation rules, and routing restrictions.
Managing core HCM setup configuration such as organizations, tenant settings, custom objects, and localization settings.
Security group configuration, including role‑based, user‑based, segment, and intersection security groups.
Working knowledge of report writing, calculated fields, and HCM‑adjacent products such as compensation and recruiting.
Manage, develop, and consult with functional teams and technical stakeholders across integrations, recruiting, compensation, talent, learning, and payroll to translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions.
Provide technical leadership by evaluating design options, proposing alternatives, and identifying opportunities for reuse and process improvement.
Review and assess proposed changes to ensure alignment with security architecture, system standards, and audit requirements.
Ensure comprehensive, accurate documentation of configurations and design decisions in accordance with organizational standards and audit guidelines.
Partner with data governance stakeholders to collaborate on Workday security audit design and execution.
Oversee configuration migrations across environments and support scheduling of batch jobs and reports.
Contribute to ongoing system maintenance to ensure performance, reliability, and business continuity.
Lead bi‑annual Workday release activities, including impact analysis, testing coordination, and implementation of required and optional features.
Education
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in HR or IT related field.
Work Experience
4+ years of hands‑on experience configuring Workday Security and Core HCM in an enterprise environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting large‑scale HR transformations, including implementation, optimization, and ongoing support.
Proven ability to plan and manage Workday configuration from design through deployment and steady‑state support.
Minimum Job Requirements
Strong understanding of Workday security architecture and governance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and set expectations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive delivery across cross‑functional teams.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills.

Salary
The anticipated salary range for this position is $92,000 – $138,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible, and the company will not pay below the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
