Job Summary
Seidel Schroeder seeks a dedicated Tax Associate to support senior leaders, ensuring exceptional service and proactive client care.

Duties/Responsibilities

Prepare simple individual and simple business returns including corporations and partnerships.

Ensure all data needed for filing is collected, while also identifying and effectively communicating missing items needed to prepare return.

Demonstrate courtesy, professionalism, and a positive attitude when interacting with clients.

Demonstrate attention to detail and logical thinking when recording tax information.

Provide clear written and verbal communication in both internal and external correspondence.

Complete assignments within a timeline and budget.

Demonstrate initiative to improve knowledge and skills through self-development.

Skills/Abilities

Ownership mentality, taking responsibility for actions and setting an example for others.

Efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks, while maintaining good time-keeping skills for records.

Ability to relate firm offerings to current clients and communicate identified opportunities to supervisors.

Maintain strict confidentiality of all client business related information.

Able to work overtime during certain seasonal periods.

Qualifications

1-3+ years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting environment.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a degree in another discipline with various course works in taxes and accounting, through intermediate level preferred.

Experience working in a professional office is preferred but not required.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America

Ability to work overtime during certain seasonal periods.
