Job Title: Night Auditor
Location: San Diego, CA
Overall Responsibilities
Run all overnight duties at the Front Desk.
Complete Night Audit procedures from Fosse.
Always address guests by name, listening intently and focusing directly on them during each interaction.
Employ aggressive hospitality skills: smile and greet every guest; speak in a warm, friendly, courteous manner; display genuine interest and pay complete attention; anticipate guest needs and respond flexibly; be knowledgeable about your job; take ownership of guest problems and resolve them; maintain and promote guest hospitality at all times.
Stock lobby market daily.
Ensure all Front Desk equipment is in working order and report any failures immediately.
Familiarize yourself with day‑to‑day room selling strategy.
Know all promotions and current programs (e.g., Marriott Rewards, Hotel Packages).
Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and wear the proper uniform at all times.
Pass all information pertinent to the desk or related areas to the following shift manager or supervisor.
Qualifications
Language skills: read and interpret documents such as safety rules (Lockout Tagout, JSA’s), safety awareness information (MSDS), operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; keep logs and speak effectively to customers and associates.
Accept that the hotel operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week; be willing to shift between assigned times as business demands, and understand that hours may vary above or below 40 per week based on business and weather.
Carry out all reasonable requests from management that are within your capabilities.
