
Accounting Analyst III – Infrastructure Accounting (Data Center)

Seeking a highly motivated Accounting Analyst III to support infrastructure and data center construction accounting within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and managing complex balance sheet activities tied to large-scale infrastructure investments.
The successful candidate will support accounting operations, month-end close activities, SOX compliance, and financial reporting while contributing to process optimization initiatives across the infrastructure accounting function.
Responsibilities
Manage accounting activities for data center construction projects, including full record-to-report lifecycle and month-end close processes
Own and reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts and associated sub-ledgers of varying complexity
Ensure adherence to SOX controls and support audit requirements
Partner with Infrastructure and Finance stakeholders to understand business objectives and provide accounting guidance
Identify process gaps and independently design and implement process improvements
Support Capex/Opex accounting, accruals, mass asset additions, and asset retirement obligations (ARO)
Maintain financial trackers, reporting schedules, and supporting documentation
Perform ad hoc financial and technical analysis to support leadership and cross-functional initiatives
Participate in FP&A discussions and cross-functional business reviews
Utilize large datasets to drive insights and improve accounting processes using financial systems and tools
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of experience in financial accounting, financial statement auditing, or equivalent experience
Strong experience with month-end close processes and balance sheet accounting
Experience analyzing large datasets and working with cross-functional stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to improve or redesign accounting processes
Strong collaboration and communication skills across global teams
Prior experience in Big 4 public accounting
CPA certification preferred
Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion
Exposure to infrastructure, construction, energy, utilities, manufacturing, or technology sectors
Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance frameworks
SQL or advanced data analysis skills
