
Senior Accountant Audit

Our client, a leading global real estate firm is seeking a Audit/CPA Accountant to join their team. This role will initially support the Development team on a large-scale Data Center project and is ideal for a candidate with strong general accounting fundamentals looking to gain direct real estate exposure. Big 4 and public accounting backgrounds are strongly preferred. The firm is open to candidates from outside the industry who are looking to break into real estate.
Responsibilities
Maintain and review the trial balance, post accounting transactions, and monitor and maintain cash activities and balances
Prepare and post journal entries ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
Review general ledger balances for completeness, accuracy, and proper account classification
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis
Perform detailed analysis of general ledger account fluctuations and provide variance explanations
Support the quarter-end and year-end review and audit process, including addressing auditor inquiries and preparing supporting schedules, details, and analysis
Support the Development team with project cost tracking, budget variance analysis, and draw package preparation
Monitor daily cash activity and maintain cash flow schedules
Requirements
4+ years of accounting experience; Big 4 or public accounting background is required
CPA candidate preferred
Strong general accounting fundamentals (general ledger day to day, close process, prepares reconciliations, posts journal entries, etc.)
Proficiency in Excel
Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and comfort working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
